Compared to last week, slaughter cattle were mostly steady. Feeder cattle were mostly 2 to 8 higher. Demand was good; market activity and buyer interest were good. Offerings of cattle were moderate. Cattle quality was well above average. Baby calves were 5 to 40, with 4 goats.
Supply included: 71% Feeder Cattle (24% Steers, 2% Dairy Steers, 45% Heifers, 24% Bulls, 5% Dairy Heifers); 25% Slaughter Cattle (94% Cows, 6% Bulls); 4% Replacement Cattle (7% Stock Cows, 57% Bred Cows, 36% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 13%.
