Compared to last week, slaughter cattle were mostly steady to 3 higher. Feeder cattle were mostly steady to 7 lower. Demand was moderate; market activity and buyer interest were moderate. Offerings of cattle were moderate. Cattle quality was average. 1 goat and 8 hogs.
Supply included: 83% Feeder Cattle (30% Steers, 1% Dairy Steers, 40% Heifers, 29% Bulls); 15% Slaughter Cattle (92% Cows, 8% Bulls); 2% Replacement Cattle (100% Bred Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 23%.
