Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold unevenly steady with 500-600lbs steers and heifers selling sharply lower. Slaughter cows sold mostly steady with slaughter bulls selling mostly 4.00 higher. Many producers are monitoring the path of Hurricane Ian that could impact livestock movement throughout the region later in the week.
Supply included: 74% Feeder Cattle (35% Steers, 40% Heifers, 26% Bulls); 26% Slaughter Cattle (89% Cows, 11% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 14%.
