Compared to last week, slaughter cows were mostly steady to 3.00 lower, while bulls were 4.00 higher. Feeder steers and heifers were 4.00 to 12.00 lower while bulls were mixed. Demand was light to moderate; market activity and buyer interest were light to moderate. Offerings of cattle were heavy. Cattle quality was average.
Supply included: 83% Feeder Cattle (30% Steers, 43% Heifers, 27% Bulls, 0% Dairy Heifers); 13% Slaughter Cattle (87% Cows, 13% Bulls); 4% Replacement Cattle (42% Bred Cows, 13% Bred Heifers, 46% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 17%.
