Compared to last week, slaughter cows were 2.00 to 3.00 lower, while bulls were 1.00 to 2.00 lower. Feeder steers were mostly 7.00 to 10.00 lower; feeder bulls were mostly 2.00 to 4.00 lower; while heifers were mixed, 2.00 lower to 4.00 higher. Demand, market activity, and buyer interest were moderate. Offerings of cattle were fairly light. Cattle quality was average. 28 head of baby calves ranged 5.00 to 30.00 per head.
Supply included: 60% Feeder Cattle (34% Steers, 0% Dairy Steers, 50% Heifers, 17% Bulls); 10% Slaughter Cattle (81% Cows, 19% Bulls); 10% Slaughter Sheep/Lambs (52% Hair Breeds, 6% Ewes, 43% Bucks); 21% Slaughter Goats (47% Kids, 20% Nannies/Does, 26% Bucks/Billies, 7% Wethers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 12%.
