Compared to last week, boning type slaughter cows were 2.00 to 3.00 higher, while breaking type slaughter cows were 1.00 to 2.00 lower and slaughter bulls were 5.00 to 6.00 lower. Feeder steers and heifers were unevenly steady; while four-weight feeder bulls were steady to 1.00 lower and five- and six-weights were steady to 4.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good; market activity and buyer interest were moderate to active. Offerings of cattle were heavy. Cattle quality was average to attractive. Baby calves ranged 55.00 to 60.00 per head.
Supply included: 75% Feeder Cattle (33% Steers, 0% Dairy Steers, 49% Heifers, 18% Bulls); 10% Slaughter Cattle (87% Cows, 13% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (100% Cow-Calf Pairs); 5% Slaughter Sheep/Lambs (56% Wooled & Shorn, 27% Hair Breeds, 6% Ewes, 10% Bucks); 9% Slaughter Goats (39% Kids, 20% Nannies/Does, 34% Bucks/Billies, 7% Wethers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 16%.
