Compared to last week; Steer calves under 500 lbs. 7.00 to 9.00 lower, over 500 lbs. 4.00 to 5.00 higher. Heifer calves 3.00 to 6.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good. Quality plain to average. Slaughter cows 9.00 to 10.00 higher. Slaughter bulls 2.00 higher. A total of 280 cows and bulls sold with 63 percent going to packers.
Supply included: 80% Feeder Cattle (29% Steers, 49% Heifers, 22% Bulls); 15% Slaughter Cattle (93% Cows, 7% Bulls); 6% Replacement Cattle (66% Bred Cows, 34% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 16%.
