Market Notes

Compared to last week: Rain with flooding throughout the trade area kept receipts too few to establish a trend. However, a lower undertone is noted. Demand good. Quality plain thru attractive. Slaughter cows 5.00 lower. Slaughter bulls mostly steady to 3.00 lower. All so in a light test.

Supply included: 78% Feeder Cattle (39% Steers, 47% Heifers, 14% Bulls); 16% Slaughter Cattle (93% Cows, 7% Bulls); 5% Replacement Cattle (45% Bred Cows, 48% Bred Heifers, 8% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 20%.
