Market Notes

Compared to last week: steers 550 to 600 lbs 5.00 to 8.00 higher, 601 to 700 lbs mostly steady, 701 to 850 lbs 2.00 to 6.00 higher. Heifers 550 to 700 lbs mostly steady. Good to very good demand for today's large offering of packages and many loads of both backgrounded and home raised cattle with best demand seen for black hided cattle which could fit grass programs. Quite a few Red Angus cattle offered today, best demand for these cattle were replacement quality heifers. Less flesh overall than last week, quite a few green cattle on offer today. Quality similar to last week with many attractive quality cattle to choose from. An active market for this offering. Some dirty hides today as the weather has warmed up to the 30's, snow is melting and pens are getting muddy. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, February 15.

Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (76% Steers, 24% Heifers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 85%. AUCTION This Week Last Reported 2/1/2023 Last Year Total Receipts: 5,800 3,978 7,065 Feeder Cattle: 5,800(100.0%) 3,978(100.0%) 7,065(100.0%)
