Market Notes

Compared to last week: best test on steers 850 to 950 lbs 2.00 higher with an instance 6.00 higher on 900 to 950 lbs, 951 to 1050 lbs steady to 1.00 lower with an instance 7.00 lower on 1000 to 1050 lbs. Heifers too lightly tested today for comparison. Good demand for today's yearling offering consisting mostly of strings and loads of steers off grass. A couple loads of heifers but mostly packages of tested opens, all coming off grass. Less variety in flesh this week with most cattle in light to moderate flesh. Lots of attractive quality cattle to choose from again this week. An active market with a slightly lighter attendance than last week. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, October 12, expecting another large offering of yearlings as well as some spring calves.

Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (82% Steers, 18% Heifers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 100%. AUCTION This Week Last Reported 9/28/2022 Last Year Total Receipts: 3,770 4,629 4,444 Feeder Cattle: 3,770(100.0%) 4,629(100.0%) 4,444(100.0%)
