Market Notes

Compared to last week: steers 700 to 1000 lbs mostly steady with instances up to 2.00 lower except for 750 to 800 lbs not well compared. Heifers not well compared today. Good to very good demand for several strings, and many loads and packages which made up today's offering. Many big, finishing type cattle on offer today, both home raised and backgrounded. Flesh mostly moderate to heavy, more flesh overall than seen last week. Several loads and packages of replacement heifers again this week, demand for these similar to last week with some still heading out to feed. Quality mostly average to attractive today. An active market seen for the offering. The area has seen some moisture this past week, both snow and rain, and plenty of wind. Wind advisory today and tomorrow which can make truck travel difficult. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, April 13.

Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (74% Steers, 26% Heifers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 94%. AUCTION This Week Last Reported 3/30/2022 Last Year Total Receipts: 3,700 5,011 6,100 Feeder Cattle: 3,700(100.0%) 5,011(100.0%) 6,100(100.0%)
