Market Notes

Compared to last week: steers 600 to 900 lbs steady. Heifers 550 to 650 lbs 2.00 to 5.00 higher, 651 to 800 lbs mostly steady. Good to very good demand for all classes of cattle again this week. Another very large offering, with many load lots again this week, as well as many packages, most of the cattle were home raised. Flesh continues to vary, from light to heavy flesh. Less grass type cattle featured today and more finishing type cattle, more flesh overall than last week. Quality mostly attractive throughout the day. An active market with lots of interest in getting cattle bought. Some tag seen again this week depending on yard conditions, temps have been fairly mild again this week. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, February 23., expecting 6000 plus.

Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (65% Steers, 35% Heifers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 90%. AUCTION This Week Last Reported 2/9/2022 Last Year Total Receipts: 8,150 7,065 4,405 Feeder Cattle: 8,150(100.0%) 7,065(100.0%) 4,405(100.0%)
