Market Notes

Compared to last week: steers 550 to 650 lbs mostly steady, 651 to 700 lbs not well tested last week for comparison, 701 to 800 lbs steady to 2.00 higher, 801 to 900 lbs 3.00 to 5.00 higher. Heifers 500 to 700 lbs mostly steady, 701 to 800 lbs steady to 2.00 higher. Good to very good demand for all classes of cattle in today's large offering. Many attractive cattle to choose from with many load lots available today, plus many part loads and packages. Varied flesh again this week, from light fleshed, hay fed calves to calves in moderate plus to heavy flesh. An active market for this offering with order buyers and farmer feeders attending the sale and eager to buy cattle. Some tag seen on the cattle today as the weather has been much warmer than normal for February and lots are thawing and getting sloppy. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, February 16.

Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (67% Steers, 33% Heifers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 82%. AUCTION This Week Last Reported 2/2/2022 Last Year Total Receipts: 7,065 5,711 2,958 Feeder Cattle: 7,065(100.0%) 5,711(100.0%) 2,958(100.0%)
