Compared to last week: steers 500 to 650 lbs 5.00 to 9.00 higher, 651 to 700 lbs not well tested today, 701 to 900 lbs 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Heifers 550 to 650 lbs steady to 2.00 higher, 651 to 750 lbs mostly steady with instances up to 6.00 higher on 651 to 700 lbs. Good to very good demand for today's large offering of many packages and loads of mostly home raised cattle. Flesh varied, from light to moderate plus, light fleshed, grass type cattle continue to see very good demand. Many attractive quality cattle to choose from this week, overall quality mostly average to attractive. An active market seen for this offering. Another very cold day today with bitter windchills but warmer weather in sight for the end of the week and weekend. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, February 9.
