Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 3 Colorado auction markets included: Winter Livestock, Livestock Exchange, and La Junta Livestock. Trade activity and demand moderate to good. Feeder steers under 600 lbs sold sharply higher, and steers 650-750 lbs 1.00 to 6.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 550 lbs sold sharply higher, 550-800 lbs 2.00 to 6.00 higher, and over 800 lbs were lightly tested at mostly 1.00 to 3.00 lower. Average dressing slaughter cows and bulls sold unevenly steady. Bred cow special in La Junta had no trades from the prior week to compare to. The next available report will be Monday, December 12, 2022.

Supply included: 78% Feeder Cattle (60% Steers, 39% Heifers, 0% Bulls, 2% Dairy Heifers); 16% Slaughter Cattle (95% Cows, 5% Bulls); 6% Replacement Cattle (92% Bred Cows, 8% Bred Heifers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 42%.
