Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 4 Colorado auction markets included: La Junta Livestock, Winter Livestock, Sterling Livestock and Livestock Exchange. Trade activity and demand moderate to good. Feeder steers under 450 lbs traded 6.00 to 11.00 lower on a light test, 450-850 lbs trade mixed from 2.00 lower to 4.00 higher, and no comparable trades over 850 lbs. Feeder heifers under 550 lbs traded mostly 2.00 to 11.00 lower, 550-800 lbs mostly 2.00 to 6.00 higher, and no comparable trades over 800 lbs. In the slaughter cow and bull supply, average dressing Breakers 3.00 higher, average dressing Boners 4.00 higher, average dressing Leans 4.00 higher, and average dressing Bulls 7.00 higher. The next available report will be Monday, February 8, 2021.
Supply included: 59% Feeder Cattle (50% Steers, 49% Heifers, 0% Bulls, 1% Dairy Heifers); 8% Slaughter Cattle (92% Cows, 8% Bulls); 34% Replacement Cattle (14% Stock Cows, 53% Bred Cows, 30% Bred Heifers, 3% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 59%.
