Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 4 Colorado auction markets included: Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, Centennial, and Livestock Exchange. Feeder steers mostly steady to 3.00 lower. Feeder heifers traded 3.00 to 6.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves traded mostly steady to 4.00 higher, with instances of up to 6.00 to 10.00 higher on calves under 450 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls traded mostly steady to 2.00 lower. Not enough comparable sales on dairy cattle from the previous week for a market trend. No trend available on replacement cattle but demand was good for bred heifers, replacement stock cows and cow-calf pairs. Trading activity was moderate to active on moderate to good buyer demand.

Supply included: 68% Feeder Cattle (20% Steers, 38% Dairy Steers, 27% Heifers, 14% Dairy Heifers); 14% Slaughter Cattle (93% Cows, 7% Bulls); 18% Replacement Cattle (2% Stock Cows, 91% Bred Cows, 3% Bred Heifers, 4% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 34%.
