Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 5 Colorado auction markets included: Centennial Livestock, Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, Sterling Livestock, and Livestock Exchange. Trade activity and demand moderate to very good. Feeder steers under 500 lbs sold sharply higher while steers over 500 lbs were mostly 3.00 to 4.00 lower with instances of steady to 1.00 higher on 800-900 lb steers. Feeder heifers under 600 lbs sold mostly 2.00 to 8.00 higher while heifers over 600 lbs sold unevenly steady. Average dressing slaughter cows and bulls sold unevenly steady, trading from 2.00 lower to 3.00 higher.

Supply included: 81% Feeder Cattle (44% Steers, 12% Dairy Steers, 36% Heifers, 2% Bulls, 6% Dairy Heifers); 9% Slaughter Cattle (1% Heifers, 94% Cows, 5% Bulls); 9% Replacement Cattle (1% Stock Cows, 82% Bred Cows, 8% Bred Heifers, 9% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 64%.
