Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 4 Colorado auction markets included: Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, Sterling Livestock and Livestock Exchange. Trade activity and demand were moderate to good. In the feeder cattle supply, steers under 500 lbs sold mostly 1.00 to 5.00 lower, 500-700 lbs sold 3.00 to 6.00 higher and 700-850 lb steers sold 8.00 to 10.00 higher. Heifers under 750 lbs sold 2.00 to 7.00 higher with instances of 11.00 higher. Trade was too limited to trend on heifers over 750 lbs. Feeder Dairy heifers sold unevenly steady. Average dressing slaughter cows sold 4.00 to 9.00 higher, bulls 3.00 higher. The next available report will be Monday, February 13, 2023.

Supply included: 90% Feeder Cattle (52% Steers, 44% Heifers, 2% Bulls, 2% Dairy Heifers); 10% Slaughter Cattle (0% Heifers, 95% Cows, 5% Bulls); 0% Replacement Cattle (60% Stock Cows, 20% Bred Cows, 5% Bred Heifers, 15% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 57%.
