Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 5 Colorado auction markets included: Centennial Livestock Stock Show Special, Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, Sterling Livestock Stock Show Special (2), and Livestock Exchange Stock Show Special. Trade active on moderate to very good demand. Feeder steers under 650 lbs sold sharply higher, with steers over 650 lbs mostly steady to 5.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 600 lbs sold sharply higher, and heifers over 600 lbs were lightly tested selling mostly steady to 7.00 higher. Average dressing slaughter cows sold 3.00 to 4.00 lower with slaughter bulls 7.00 lower. The next available report will be Monday, January 23, 2023.

Supply included: 95% Feeder Cattle (54% Steers, 0% Dairy Steers, 45% Heifers, 0% Bulls, 1% Dairy Heifers); 5% Slaughter Cattle (95% Cows, 5% Bulls); 0% Replacement Cattle (3% Stock Cows, 79% Bred Cows, 8% Bred Heifers, 10% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 55%.
