Trade activity and demand moderate to good. Feeder steers under 600 lbs sold mostly 1.00 to 5.00 lower, 600-850 lbs mostly steady to 3.00 higher, and over 800 lbs mostly 5.00 to 7.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 500 lbs sold uneven, 500-750 lbs steady to 6.00 lower, and over 750 lbs lightly tested, trading 4.00 higher. Feeder dairy heifers weighing 8501250 lbs sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher with instances of 8.00 to 9.00 higher. Average dressing slaughter cows and bull sold steady to 2.00 lower. The next available report will be Monday, November 28, 2022.
Supply included: 63% Feeder Cattle (61% Steers, 37% Heifers, 0% Bulls, 2% Dairy Heifers); 17% Slaughter Cattle (96% Cows, 4% Bulls); 20% Replacement Cattle (3% Stock Cows, 70% Bred Cows, 23% Bred Heifers, 3% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 43%.
