Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 3 Colorado auction markets included: Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, and Livestock Exchange. Trade activity and demand moderate to good. Feeder steers thinly tested at 6.00 to 8.00 lower with several instances of sharply lower. Feeder heifers thinly tested at 7.00 to 9.00 lower with several instances of sharply lower. Angus/Holstein cross heifers sold 1.00 lower to 3.00 higher. Average dressing slaughter cows sold 1.00 lower to 2.00 higher. The next available report will be Monday, September 26, 2022.

Supply included: 56% Feeder Cattle (47% Steers, 39% Heifers, 0% Bulls, 14% Dairy Heifers); 44% Slaughter Cattle (91% Cows, 9% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (9% Bred Cows, 91% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 47%.
