Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 2 Colorado auction markets included: Sterling Livestock and Livestock Exchange. Trade activity and demand were moderate to good. Feeder cattle too thinly traded for an accurate trend. Average dressing slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly steady to 2.00 lower. Replacement cattle too thinly tested to trend. The next available report will be Monday, August 8, 2022.

Supply included: 60% Feeder Cattle (29% Steers, 60% Heifers, 11% Dairy Heifers); 36% Slaughter Cattle (91% Cows, 9% Bulls); 5% Replacement Cattle (39% Bred Cows, 61% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 83%.
