Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 5 Colorado auction markets included: Centennial Livestock, Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, Sterling Livestock and Livestock Exchange. Trade activity moderate to good. Feeder steers too thinly tested for an accurate trend. Feeder heifers across all weight classes sold mostly 1.00 to 6.00 higher with instances of 8.00 to 11.00 higher on a light test. Dairy feeder heifers over 900 lbs sold mostly steady to 2.00 lower. Average dressing slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly 1.00 to 3.00 lower. The next available report will be Monday, May 16, 2022.

Supply included: 73% Feeder Cattle (28% Steers, 21% Dairy Steers, 36% Heifers, 1% Bulls, 15% Dairy Heifers); 21% Slaughter Cattle (88% Cows, 12% Bulls); 6% Replacement Cattle (34% Bred Cows, 9% Bred Heifers, 53% CowCalf Pairs, 4% Heifer Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 48%.
