Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 3 Colorado auction markets included: Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, and Livestock Exchange. Feeder steers under 550 lbs too thinly traded to trend. Steers 550-800 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher, and over 800 lbs steady to 2.00 lower. Feeder heifers under 450 lbs were lightly tested, selling 8.00 lower, 450-600 lbs 1.00 to 3.00 lower, and over 600 lbs 3.00 to 5.00 higher. Feeder dairy heifers over 900 lbs sold mostly 1.00 to 5.00 lower on a light test. Average dressing slaughter cows and bulls sold unevenly steady. The next available report will be Monday, May 2, 2022.

Supply included: 74% Feeder Cattle (47% Steers, 43% Heifers, 11% Dairy Heifers); 24% Slaughter Cattle (87% Cows, 13% Bulls); 2% Replacement Cattle (37% Stock Cows, 21% Bred Cows, 16% Bred Heifers, 26% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 56%.
