Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 3 Colorado auction markets included: Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, and Livestock Exchange. Trade activity and demand moderate to good on feeder cattle and good to very good on slaughter cows and bulls. Feeder steers and heifers too thinly tested for an accurate market trend. Dairy heifers traded unevenly steady. Average dressing slaughter cows sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher while average dressing slaughter bulls sold 2.00 lower. The next available report will be Monday, March 7, 2022.

Supply included: 80% Feeder Cattle (59% Steers, 33% Heifers, 5% Bulls, 3% Dairy Heifers); 20% Slaughter Cattle (96% Cows, 4% Bulls, 0% Dairy Heifers); 1% Replacement Cattle (100% Stock Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 62%.
