Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 4 Colorado auction markets included: Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, Sterling Livestock, and Livestock Exchange. Trade activity and demand moderate to good on feeder cattle and good to very good on slaughter cows and bulls. Feeder steers under 500 lbs sold 7.00 to 8.00 lower with instances of sharply lower, and steers over 500 lbs sold steady to 5.00 lower. Feeder heifers under 500 lbs sold uneven from 2.00 lower to 3.00 higher, and heifers over 500 lbs sold mostly 2.00 to 5.00 lower. Feeder dairy heifers sold mostly steady to 3.00 higher on a light test. Average dressing slaughter cows and bulls sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher with instances of 10.00 higher.

Supply included: 56% Feeder Cattle (49% Steers, 47% Heifers, 0% Bulls, 4% Dairy Heifers); 20% Slaughter Cattle (94% Cows, 6% Bulls); 24% Replacement Cattle (4% Stock Cows, 81% Bred Cows, 14% Bred Heifers, 1% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 55%.
