Compared to last week: Trade activity and demand moderate to good? Feeder steers under 600 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher with instances of 6.00 to 7.00 higher, steers 600-700 lbs 1.00 to 6.00 lower, and over 700 lbs sold uneven. Feeder heifers under 600 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher with instances of 6.00 higher, heifers 600-700 lbs sold 1.00 lower, and over 700 lbs sold mostly 5.00 to 7.00 higher with few instances of steady to 4.00 higher. Average dressing slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 1.00 lower. Several offerings of breds were sold this week with heifers selling for 1400.oo to 1585.00 per head and Young to Middle Aged cows selling for 1200.00 to 1500.00 per head. The next available report will be Monday, November 22, 2021.
Supply included: 81% Feeder Cattle (57% Steers, 0% Dairy Steers, 41% Heifers, 1% Bulls, 0% Dairy Heifers); 15% Slaughter Cattle (97% Cows, 2% Bulls, 1% Dairy Heifers); 4% Replacement Cattle (11% Stock Cows, 49% Bred Cows, 39% Bred Heifers, 0% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 38%.
