Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 4 Colorado auction markets included: winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, Sterling Livestock, and Livestock Exchange. Trade activity and demand moderate to good. Not enough comparable trades on beef type breeds of feeder cattle for a comparison. Dairy heifers this week sold steady to 2.00 lower. Average dressing slaughter cows sold 3.00 lower. Average dressing slaughter bulls sold 4.00 lower. The next available report will be Monday, October 4, 2021.

Supply included: 70% Feeder Cattle (55% Steers, 36% Heifers, 9% Dairy Heifers); 26% Slaughter Cattle (84% Cows, 14% Bulls, 2% Dairy Heifers); 5% Replacement Cattle (2% Stock Cows, 76% Bred Cows, 4% Bred Heifers, 18% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 72%.
