Compared to last week: Slaughter cows traded steady to 1.50 lower, while slaughter bulls traded fully steady. Feeding cows traded steady to 1.25 higher on a light test. Dairy heifers traded unevenly steady. No other classes of cattle had enough comparisons for an accurate market trend. Trade activity and demand were moderate. The next available report will be Thursday, April 28, 2022.

Supply included: 41% Feeder Cattle (31% Steers, 16% Heifers, 53% Dairy Heifers); 52% Slaughter Cattle (91% Cows, 9% Bulls); 7% Replacement Cattle (37% Stock Cows, 21% Bred Cows, 16% Bred Heifers, 26% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 69%.
