Compared to last week: Trade activity and demand moderate to good. In slaughter cows, breaker cows traded 1.00 higher, while boner and lean cows traded steady to 3.50 lower. Slaughter bulls traded 3.50 higher. Feeding cows traded 3.00 to 4.00 lower. Dairy heifers traded mostly steady and stocker cows were steady to 1.50 higher. There were not enough comparisons for replacement cattle or feeder cattle from last week to give an accurate market trend. The next available report will be Thursday, April 21, 2022.

Supply included: 38% Feeder Cattle (43% Steers, 43% Heifers, 14% Dairy Heifers); 50% Slaughter Cattle (85% Cows, 10% Bulls, 5% Dairy Heifers); 12% Replacement Cattle (23% Stock Cows, 33% Bred Cows, 4% Bred Heifers, 32% Cow-Calf Pairs, 9% Heifer Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 90%.
