Compared to last week: Slaughter cows traded 1.25 to 8.00 higher. Slaughter bulls were steady on a very thin test. Feeding cows traded 4.00 to 4.50 higher and dairy heifers traded 2.00 to 6.00 higher on a light test. All other classes of cattle were too thinly tested to accurately trend. The next available report will be Thursday, February 10, 2022.
Supply included: 14% Feeder Cattle (11% Steers, 89% Dairy Heifers); 80% Slaughter Cattle (98% Cows, 2% Bulls); 6% Replacement Cattle (55% Stock Cows, 45% Bred Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 100%.
