Compared to last week: Slaughter cows traded steady to 5.00 higher. Feeding cows traded 0.75 to 3.00 higher. Slaughter bulls traded 5.75 higher on a very light test. Replacement cattle had no comparisons from last week. Trade activity and demand were moderate to good. The next available report will be Thursday, October 7, 2021.
Supply included: 18% Feeder Cattle (43% Steers, 57% Dairy Heifers); 77% Slaughter Cattle (0% Heifers, 97% Cows, 2% Bulls); 5% Replacement Cattle (25% Stock Cows, 75% Bred Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 100%.
