Compared to last week: Slaughter cows traded 1.00 to 1.25 higher. Slaughter bulls traded 3.25 higher on a light test. Feeding cows traded unevenly steady. Dairy heifers traded mostly steady to 1.00 lower. No other classes of cattle had any comparisons to make an accurate market trend. Trade activity and demand were moderate. The next available report will be Thursday, September 23, 2021.
Supply included: 43% Feeder Cattle (5% Steers, 4% Heifers, 92% Dairy Heifers); 53% Slaughter Cattle (1% Heifers, 88% Cows, 11% Bulls); 4% Replacement Cattle (33% Stock Cows, 67% Bred Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 84%.
