Compared to last week: Slaughter cows traded steady to 1.50 higher, while feeding cows traded steady. Slaughter bulls traded 3.00 higher. Holstein heifers traded steady to 3.00 higher. Feeder cattle and replacement cattle were too thinly tested to accurately trend. Trade activity and demand were moderate to good. The next available report will be Thursday, September 9, 2021.
Supply included: 23% Feeder Cattle (20% Heifers, 80% Dairy Heifers); 76% Slaughter Cattle (93% Cows, 7% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (50% Stock Cows, 50% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 100%.
