Compared to two weeks ago: Slaughter cattle sold steady to 2.00 higher with high dressing boning cows up to 109.00 cwt. Feeder steers and bulls sold sharply higher, feeder heifers sold 4.00 to 6.00 higher. Trade active with very good demand on feeders. Replacement cattle sold firm.
Supply included: 76% Feeder Cattle (13% Steers, 61% Heifers, 26% Bulls); 18% Slaughter Cattle (91% Cows, 9% Bulls); 6% Replacement Cattle (53% Bred Cows, 29% Bred Heifers, 18% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 37%.
