Market Notes

Compared to last week, feeder steers and bulls measuring 3.00 to 4.00 lower, with feeder heifers unevenly steady. Slaughter cows holding mostly steady overall with slaughter bulls 2.00 higher. Pulaski - Compared to the same sale two weeks ago Slaughter cows and bulls steady. Steers and bulls 2.00 to 7.00 lower. Heifers under 400 lbs 2.00 to 4.00 lower, over 400 lbs steady to 6.00 higher. Quality fair to good. Demand moderate. Columbia - Cattle were gathered at Columbia and Cookeville Tn. Cattle were vaccinated and weaned under strict protocol. Weighted on ground and graded. Most cattle were flesh 4 and 5.

Supply included: 81% Feeder Cattle (36% Steers, 47% Heifers, 17% Bulls); 16% Slaughter Cattle (85% Cows, 15% Bulls); 3% Replacement Cattle (50% Bred Cows, 14% Bred Heifers, 36% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 39%.
