Compared to last week slaughter steers were 1.00 to 3.00 higher with slaughter heifers 2.00 higher with higher packer bids today and a good offering of high quality steers and heifers. Holstein slaughter heifers were sharply lower with Holstein steers too few to compare. Cows were 1.00 lower and bulls were 3.00 higher. Feeder calves were too few to compare this week.
Supply included: 4% Feeder Cattle (100% Heifers); 96% Slaughter Cattle (59% Steers, 1% Dairy Steers, 4% Heifers, 31% Cows, 1% Bulls, 2% Dairy Heifers, 0% Bullocks). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 30%.
