Compared to last week slaughter steers were 6.00 higher with slaughter heifers 3.00 higher with better packer inquiry this week and active bidding. No Holstein slaughter steers last week but they were trending higher today. Cows and bulls were significantly higher with good offering of high dressing cows and bulls with active buyer participation. Feeder steers were mostly steady and feeder heifers trending higher and bulls steady and some good groups of valve added and fancy type feeders offered.

Supply included: 16% Feeder Cattle (39% Steers, 41% Heifers, 20% Bulls); 84% Slaughter Cattle (44% Steers, 3% Dairy Steers, 27% Heifers, 20% Cows, 5% Bulls, 0% Bullocks). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 51%.
