Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 5.00 higher and slaughter heifers 3.00 higher with active buyer participation and good high quality steers and heifers. Holstein slaughter steers had a light offering today and trending lower. Cows had instances of higher/lower with good value on high dressing breaker cows and bulls 8.00 to 12.00 higher this week. All classes of feeder calves were sharply higher with a good offering of fancy type feeders on all classes.

Supply included: 42% Feeder Cattle (27% Steers, 61% Heifers, 13% Bulls); 58% Slaughter Cattle (20% Steers, 2% Dairy Steers, 30% Heifers, 41% Cows, 7% Bulls, 1% Bullocks). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 44%.
