Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 1.00 lower with slaughter heifers 3.00 to 7.00 lower with better packer inquiry on higher quality steers and heifers and active bidding today. Holstein slaughter steers were trending lower this week. Cows were 2.00 to 7.00 higher with a good offering of cows and bulls mostly steady but good value on high dressing bulls. A light test on feeders last week but all classes of feeder were trending lower today.

Supply included: 11% Feeder Cattle (22% Steers, 44% Heifers, 34% Bulls); 89% Slaughter Cattle (31% Steers, 10% Dairy Steers, 27% Heifers, 25% Cows, 6% Bulls, 1% Dairy Heifers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 81%.
