Compared to last week, slaughter steers and heifers were 1.00 to 5.00 higher with a good offering of high quality steers and heifers. Holstein slaughter steers were trending higher. Cows were 2.00 to 3.00 higher with bulls instances of higher/lower. Feeder steers were 9.00 higher with feeder heifers and bulls had a higher undertone today.
Supply included: 11% Feeder Cattle (15% Steers, 52% Heifers, 33% Bulls); 89% Slaughter Cattle (45% Steers, 1% Dairy Steers, 33% Heifers, 18% Cows, 3% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 12%.
