Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 2.00 lower and slaughter heifers were 1.00 to 2.00 higher with good higher quality heifers today. Holstein slaughter steers were too few to compare. Cows had instances of higher/lower with a good offering of cows and bulls 3.00 to 7.00 lower this week. Feeder steers were trending higher with some good groups of fancy steers and feeder heifers instances of higher/lower also with some good groups of fancy type heifers with feeder bulls trending lower.
Supply included: 35% Feeder Cattle (30% Steers, 54% Heifers, 16% Bulls); 64% Slaughter Cattle (28% Steers, 1% Dairy Steers, 25% Heifers, 40% Cows, 6% Bulls, 1% Dairy Heifers); 1% Replacement Cattle (50% Bred Heifers, 50% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 17%.
