Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 1.00 to 2.00 higher and slaughter heifers 1.00 to 2.00 lower with good groups of steers and heifers. Holstein slaughter steers were trending higher. Cows were 1.00 to 3.00 higher and bulls 6.00 to 8.00 lower with a good offering of cows and bulls. Feeder steers were trending lower with feeder heifers instances of higher/lower and feeder bulls mostly steady.
Supply included: 23% Feeder Cattle (30% Steers, 1% Dairy Steers, 61% Heifers, 8% Bulls); 77% Slaughter Cattle (20% Steers, 4% Dairy Steers, 43% Heifers, 25% Cows, 8% Bulls); 0% Replacement Cattle (100% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 57%.
