Compared to last week slaughter steers were 1.00 to 2.00 higher with slaughter heifers instances of higher/lower with a good offering higher quality steers and heifers. No test on Holstein slaughter steers today. Cows had instances of higher/lower with a good offering of cows with bulls sharply lower. All classes of feeder calves were significantly higher this week with some good groups of feeders today.
Supply included: 21% Feeder Cattle (41% Steers, 43% Heifers, 15% Bulls, 1% Dairy Heifers); 79% Slaughter Cattle (47% Steers, 1% Dairy Steers, 21% Heifers, 27% Cows, 4% Bulls, 0% Bullocks). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 39%.
