Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 1.00 lower with slaughter heifers 2.00 lower with lower packer inquiry this week. Holstein slaughter steers were 2.00 lower today. Cows were 2.00 higher with bulls 1.00 higher higher. Feeder cattle were too few to compare but feeder steers and bulls trending lower with heavier feeder steers at a good value and feeder heifers trending higher.
Supply included: 8% Feeder Cattle (43% Steers, 14% Dairy Steers, 33% Heifers, 10% Bulls); 92% Slaughter Cattle (54% Steers, 2% Dairy Steers, 25% Heifers, 16% Cows, 4% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 57%.
