Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 1.00 higher with slaughter heifers instances of higher/lower with still good value on higher quality steers and heifers. No comparison on Holstein slaughter this week. Cows were 1.00 to 2.00 lower with bulls sharply higher. Feeder steers were mostly steady and feeder heifers instances of higher/lower with feeder bulls trending higher.
Supply included: 40% Feeder Cattle (22% Steers, 9% Dairy Steers, 37% Heifers, 8% Bulls, 25% Dairy Heifers); 60% Slaughter Cattle (35% Steers, 1% Dairy Steers, 26% Heifers, 28% Cows, 11% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 46%.
