Compared to last week, slaughter steers and slaughter heifers had instances of higher/lower with good value on higher quality steers and heifers. No Holstein slaughter last week to compare but Holsteins were trending higher today. Breaker cows were 4.00 higher with boner cows 2.00 lower and bulls 8.00 to 9.00 higher. Feeder steers and feeder bulls too few to compare with feeder heifers 1.00 to 3.00 higher.
Supply included: 11% Feeder Cattle (6% Steers, 88% Heifers, 6% Bulls); 89% Slaughter Cattle (37% Steers, 11% Dairy Steers, 25% Heifers, 23% Cows, 3% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 50%.
