Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 1.00 to 4.00 higher with slaughter heifers 3.00 higher with better prices on higher quality steers and heifers. Holstein slaughter steers were 4.00 higher today. Cows were sharply higher with a good offering of high dressing cows and bulls 6.00 to 7.00 higher. Feeder steers were mostly steady with feeder heifers trending lower and no offering on feeder bulls last week to compare.

Supply included: 13% Feeder Cattle (13% Steers, 27% Dairy Steers, 47% Heifers, 13% Bulls); 87% Slaughter Cattle (39% Steers, 6% Dairy Steers, 27% Heifers, 24% Cows, 4% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 36%.
