Compared to last week, slaughter steers were sharply higher with slaughter heifers instances of higher/lower but higher value on higher quality heifers this week. No comparison on Holstein slaughter steers this week due to no Holstein steers last week but Holsteins were trend higher. Cows were 3.00 to 5.00 higher and bulls 3.00 higher. All classes of feeders were mostly steady but higher value on value added feeders.
Supply included: 20% Feeder Cattle (20% Steers, 63% Heifers, 17% Bulls); 80% Slaughter Cattle (22% Steers, 9% Dairy Steers, 55% Heifers, 9% Cows, 2% Bulls, 2% Dairy Heifers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 85%.
